School Site Council
What is School Site Council?
The School Site Council (SSC) is a team of parents, teachers, school staff, and the principal who work together to improve student achievement. SSC members review school goals, analyze student data, and help plan how certain funds are used to support all students.
Why Get Involved?
Your voice matters!
Joining SSC is a great way to:
Get involved in your child’s education
Learn how schools plan and set goals
Help ensure school programs meet the needs of all students
Who Can Join?
Any parent or guardian of a student enrolled at the school can run for SSC. No special experience is required, just a willingness to listen, learn, and contribute!
What do SSC members do?
To serve on the School Site Council (SSC) is to be a vital part of your school's success. Council members are responsible for:
Making important financial decisions, including how specific school funds are used.
Reviewing and approving the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
Representing the community by providing input on school priorities and programs.
This means attending a few meetings a year and participating in respectful discussions and votes that directly impact the school and its students.
Perks of being a SSC member at Earlimart Elementary
A School Site Council member gets reserved seating to our assemblies and promotions.
For every meeting our member attends their child gets 10 ClassDojo points to redeem at the student store.
How to become a School Site Council member?
A flyer and form was sent home with your student today. If you are interested in being a member of the SSC, please fill out the nomination form, and return it to the school office by September 2, 2025. Nominations will not be accepted after this date. After all nominations are in, a ballot will be sent home to all parents. The three parents with the highest number of votes will serve on the SSC.
Three parents need to be elected this year for the Earlimart Elementary SSC.
