BOIL WATER NOTICE
Boil Your Water Before Drinking or Food Preparation to Avoid Illness
Due to the recent water outage, which occurred on January 6, 2026, the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water, the Tulare County Health Department, and the Earlimart Public Utilities District (PUD) Water System are advising customers of Earlimart PUD to only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution to avoid stomach or intestinal illness. The affected area includes: Customers of Earlimart PUD
We will inform you when tests show that water is safe to drink, and you no longer need to boil your water. We anticipate resolving the problem within 5-8 days.

Do not drink the water without boiling it first
Boil all water for one (1) minute (rolling boil).
Let water cool before drinking.
Use boiled or bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.
Boiling water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
If you are unable to boil your water:
Household unscented liquid bleach
For clear water, use 8 drops (1/8 tsp.) of bleach for 1 gallon of water. For cloudy water, filter through a clean cloth and use 16 drops (1/4 tsp.) of bleach for 1 gallon of water.
Mix well. Allow to stand for 30 minutes before using.
Water may taste or smell like chlorine. This means disinfection has occurred.

Good afternoon Earlimart families,
Please be advised that the Earlimart Middle School track is closed today, December 16th and tomorrow, December 17th due to construction.
The good news? This work is for the installation of the long-awaited field lights, which will allow our students to enjoy evening sports activities once completed! The track will reopen to the public on Thursday, December 18th.

ESD Alumni Spotlight
We are proud to announce that Donald Eugene Thomas Jr. (Class of '93) has been selected as the second honoree in our Earlimart School District Alumni Spotlight series!
Donald is a distinguished graduate of Earlimart Elementary and Middle School and currently serves as the Art Teacher and Athletic Director at Coalinga Middle School within the Coalinga School District. A proud veteran with 20 years of military reserve/Guard service as a Logistics Supervisor, Donald has earned multiple degrees and certifications, including a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s in Teaching.
During his time in Earlimart, he was a dedicated student-athlete, playing football, baseball, and basketball, and he still remembers his teammates and coaches fondly. Today, Donald is a husband, father of four, grandfather of two, and a devoted sports enthusiast working toward his goal of becoming a principal. We are honored to celebrate his accomplishments and highlight the legacy of Earlimart alumni, one of the many who make us Earlimart PROUD!

Sharon was an educator for more than 40 years, including over 30 years of dedicated service to Earlimart School District from August 27, 1974, through June 30, 2005. A kind but firm and highly respected kindergarten teacher, she was known for her strong character, high expectations, and the meaningful, lasting impact she made on generations of Earlimart students and families.
Sharon, along with her husband Dr. Bruce Boaz, contributed greatly to Earlimart School District and to the Earlimart community. Their shared commitment to education and to the children of Earlimart remains an enduring part of our district’s history. Sharon will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Spring 2026.

We’re excited to introduce our Earlimart School District Alumni Spotlight Series — a monthly celebration of former students who proudly represent their Earlimart roots, wherever life has taken them!
Meet Lidia Flores, a proud 2009 alumna of Earlimart Elementary, Alila Elementary, and Earlimart Middle School. Lidia is currently an Instructional Aide at Earlimart School District with aspirations of becoming a High School History teacher. After earning an AA in History from Bakersfield College, she is now pursuing a BA in History at CSU Bakersfield.
Lidia fondly recalls her time on the 8th-grade basketball team and the personal triumph of graduating in the top 10 percent of her class at EMS as an English Learner, a moment that proved her capabilities.
Married to Daniel Flores, Lidia enjoys reading, history, coffee, Star Wars, and exploring new coffee shops and bookstores.

Robert Fredrick Daily
(July 6, 1932 - July 23, 2025)
We are sad to announce the passing of Robert Daily, a former teacher at Earlimart Middle School. Mr. Daily dedicated 27 years, from 1967-1994, to the Earlimart School District.
